Getting started

  • What you need: an iPhone running iOS 16.2 or later, and an internet connection.
  • Signing in: Frndo uses Sign in with Apple. You can choose to share your email or hide it.
  • Permissions: Frndo asks to use your microphone and speech recognition so you can talk to it. Speech is turned into text on your iPhone. Location and calendar access are optional, and they let Frndo give local suggestions and help with your plans. You can change any permission later in iOS Settings.

Common questions

Frndo isn't hearing me

Check that Frndo has microphone and speech recognition access in iOS Settings, and that the app isn't muted. In a noisy place, try push-to-talk, which you can turn on in the app's settings: hold to talk, release when you're done. Frndo doesn't listen while it's speaking, so wait for it to finish.

Frndo says I'm offline

Frndo needs an internet connection to reply. Check your connection, then tap Try again.

How do I change my avatar?

Open the app's settings and choose a new avatar. Your history and memories stay the same.

How do I talk by text instead of voice?

Open text mode in the app. Text mode is also where Frndo shows links, maps, and recommendations.

How do I see or delete what Frndo remembers?

Open the app's settings to search your memories and delete any of them. See Delete your account and data for all the options.

How do I delete my account?
